The wheel rim (commonly referred to as the rim) is the component of the wheel that mounts and supports the tire along its outer circumference; together with the spokes, it forms the complete wheel. Rims and spokes may be constructed as a single integral unit, permanently joined, or detachable.

 

Mounting and Securing: Serves as the mounting base for the tire; the bead seat ensures a tight fit with the tire, maintaining its shape and airtightness while preventing detachment during operation.


Load Bearing: Works with the tire to support the vehicle's weight and vertical loads encountered during driving, effectively transferring these forces to the ground.
Torque Transmission: Transmits driving force, braking force, and lateral steering forces, ensuring handling stability.


Heat Dissipation: Leverages the thermal conductivity of the metal material to dissipate heat generated by tire rolling, thereby reducing the risk of high-temperature blowouts.
